Savannah in the Round 2025 has unveiled its third and final artist announcement, rounding out an already blockbuster program expected to draw more than 10,000 fans to the Mareeba Rodeo Grounds from 9-12 October 2025. Topping the latest announcement are Australian music icons The Black Sorrows, who will bring their unmistakable blend of soul, blues and rock to the iconic Cape Stage.
The Savannah in the Round team is excited to announce its tourism partnership with Reef Unlimited for the highly anticipated Savannah Sounds Port Douglas event, a key highlight of the Port Douglas Carnivale. The tour operator has come on board as tourism partner for the three-day music event, plus they will provide exclusive ferry transportation to and from the festival from Cairns.
Savannah in the Round is excited to announce two powerhouse acts - Zac Brown Band and Jackson Dean - as the U.S. headliners for the 2025 festival set to come to Mareeba this October. With an already impressive international lineup, the addition of these two dynamic artists promises to elevate the festival to new heights. Zac Brown Band, the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Southern rock group, will lead the charge as the festival’s headline act, bringing their signature sound to the stage in the heart of Queensland’s Tropical North.

Port Douglas Carnivale will welcome an exciting new addition to its 2025 program, with the team behind Savannah in the Round curating a weekend of live music and entertainment at Rex Smeal Park. Running across three days from 23-25 May, the Savannah Sounds Port Douglas program, presented by Douglas Shire Council and major sponsor Newsport, will kick off with a Friday night party, followed by a headline music event on Saturday, before wrapping up with a locals’ day on Sunday.

Cairns' hottest ticket just turned up the heat with Australia’s rising star and darling of country music, Max Jackson, confirmed to headline the 2024 Ladbrokes Cairns Amateurs Ball. Fresh from playing at Nashville’s iconic CMA Fest, Max announced today from Tennessee that she is thrilled to return to the region to headline the Amateurs Ball before heading to Savannah in the Round Festival as Festival Ambassador in October. Max is also set to activate her Savannah status with a promotional performance at Mareeba Rodeo on July 13.
Tropical North Queensland’s favourite music festival, Savannah in the Round, has completed this year’s line-up with the addition of Nashville-based artist, Tyler Hubbard. Hubbard was first introduced to the world as half of country music duo Florida Georgia Line, where as a performer and songwriter, he sold millions of albums and has two Diamond certified songs. As a solo artist, Hubbard put out his debut self-titled solo album in January 2023.
